Needless to say, this is a sponsorship–driven name change.
St. Helens moved into the newly–built Langtree Park in 2012. That name was itself sponsorship–driven; Langtree was the company that developed the stadium.
Totally Wicked, the new sponsor, is "the UK's leading independent manufacturer and retailer of vape products (e–cigarettes and e–liquids)". The new sponsorship deal started on 1 January 2017 and is valid for five years.
Totally Wicked had sponsored one stand at the ground since 2013, and had been a shirt sponsor since 2014.
